Manahunters Guild
There are those who take the world for what it is, and those who wish to shape it - those people tend to grow to be great Manahunters. This group of individuals strives to improve and change the world around them, though for better or for worse is down to the individual. Regardless of intentions, this guild prioritizes innovation and creation above all else, using what the world provides to make something better.
The guild leader, Elijah, is amongst the very few pre-Calamity Manahunters left, with many going to find out what lay at the heart of the Calamity only to disappear without a trace or, worse, forgetting themselves entirely. Being one of the few that were around before the Calamity meant he could see that the guild had become the very thing that they strived to change; the mundane.
He, along with his apprentice Leonidas, strives to build a new collective of imaginative and strong-willed individuals to help uncover the mysteries of the Rifts and Calamity, especially with the two newcomers coming from within it.
Technical ADvancements
Requires: Level 2
“Hey there, friend! I'm Leonidas, head archivist for the Manahunter's Guild! If you've been here before, I'm sorry about Elijah's rather uh... cold welcome. He's like that to everyone; always has been. He doesn't like to sugarcoat things and would rather scare people away so they don't get hurt. He truly does care, he just has a uh... Odd way of showing it for sure. And hey, if this is your first time here, Elijah is busy with some more important issues so you'll have me to talk to instead! That's good, right?
Aaaaaaanyway... Let me take a look at the notes he gave me about this task... yup yup... then you do that... Ah-ha! That's right! We at the Manahunter's Guild are looking for brave individuals to help us scout out some areas of interest to us! In the past, we have asked many a wannabe-manahunter to look into the Ruins scattered around Solaria, but something odd has happened... Just like the Calamity, we have been getting reports that we are no longer able to explore them, with anyone who was inside seemingly re-appearing at their homes.
All except one, it seems. A ruin we have recently called the Blighted Outpost.
This outpost directly overlooks Blightfall and the Tassilum Monument. So far, we have found that it has 2 rooms inside we can currently go into; the Grand Entrance and the Filing Room. There are also a couple of other rooms that we are hoping to make our way inside; the Storage Area, and the Contaminated Basement. We will let you know when they open! If you are up to helping us out and want to receive some items for your time, head on over there and see what you can find! And thank you, of course. It's people like you who can help us out to grant us some advancements in our research!
Which room do they explore and what do they find?
- Do you go to the Grant Entrance and look for some left-behind personal belongings of those who used to work there?
- Perhaps you decide to go to the Grant Entrance to see if they would have any lost plant life for the Manahunters to test?
- Maybe they wish to head to the Filing Room to find some long-lost files. What, do you expect more in a filing room?
- Do they travel to the Filing Room to check to see if anyone dropped anything under the cabinets?
- Perhaps they even find a little Filing Helper pet in there?
- Or do they decide to just try their luck in either room and pick up the first thing they find?
Inturosian Ruins Exploration:
Inturosian Ruins come in many shapes and sizes. These urban relics of a past civilisation are usually covered in vines, and grime, and filled with dust. Whilst the Inturos were a race long since extinct from Solaria, they were also more advanced than the Kiamara and Dromedairy societies that exist today.
In these ruins, you can expect to find crystal shards full of information, high-tech machines that run on the power of Mana rather than electricity, blueprints for new and excited mecha, and sometimes something rather dark hidden away in the pages of books with ineligible writing. These items and more are always sought by the Manahunters to find more answers about Solaria's past and to find ways to advance themselves.
The Blighted Outpost has 2 rooms currently open to explore; the Grand Entrance and the Filing Room. These rooms seem to be affected by the rifts and are described differently depending on who is inside and are up to your interpretation as to how they look. Depending on where your character explores, the rewards will be different.
Additionally, all entries will receive the chance of an additional piece of loot.

Attunement
Requires: Level 2
Oh, hey again! How have things been going with the Blighted Outpost? All good? Brilliant! We’ve heard there’s been lots of progress in retrieving new, well, old technology and artefacts thanks to everyone’s effort. We’ve even been making progress in trying to open more wings of the outpost as well! So keep up the good work.
Now, as you may know, we also keep an eye on the rifts. In the past, we have had people interested in helping us out go to rifts and place some items in front of them to see what happens and we have had some strange results… The items that were placed in front of the rifts would warp and change and because of this, we have had quite a few new things created because of it!
Because we had so many helpers bring back fascinating things, we now want to see how they work in our world as some of them have strange or unique properties, and others we simply do not know how they can exist… Our top researchers suggest bringing in one or two reagents to see how it may react. So, what do you think? Do you think you could go and check out how they work and see if we can attune them to Solaria?
How does your character try to attune the object?
- Do they try to pick it up and see if there are any unique symbols on it?
- Perhaps they throw the object on the floor to see how it reacts?
- Maybe they try talking to it to see if it has sentience?
- Do they take it to Sal to see if he has any idea what it could be?
- Maybe they try to squish and squeeze it to see if anything happens.
- Or do they decide to just watch it for as long as possible? Maybe if you make it uncomfortable something happens?
Items Transformed at the Rifts:
All of the objects appear to be stationary objects with strange properties that those at the Manhunter’s guild don’t understand. Some have been seen to move around, others have been said to talk to someone nearby telepathically, and others are said to give off certain emotions when standing near it. All objects seem to resemble at least one in-game item.
Here are some examples of objects you could find that you could investigate, though many more would be out there if you want to try something different.
Special Requirements:
For this quest, each requirement tier will require some reagents to be handed into the quest via the 'Add-Ons' part of the quest entry form. Here is a list of all the reagents you can use for this quest:

Standard Writing Requirements:
Must be at least 250 words in length. Must mention your character's name. Must describe the object that they are investigating. Must mention what 1 reagent they have brought to the object and why. Must mention something that happens, even if it is nothing.

Enhanced Art Requirements:
Must at least be a sketched flat-coloured half-body of the character. Must show at least a sketchy flatcolour image of the object they are investigating. Must have a defined background of where they are investigating the object. Must show what 2 reagents they have brought to the object. Must show how the object reacts to at least 1 reagent, even if that reaction is nothing. The expression on the character's face must show whether they are surprised, happy, or disappointed at the result.
