A little egg was dropped off today, swaddled in a blanket with a short note attached.

"Please, take care of my child."

With no further knowledge on the parent or parents involved, it was decided that the little egg would be adopted out. If you are perhaps interested in a new addition to your family, please fill out the form below.

Parent 1:

Parent 2: (optional)

How do the parent(s) respond to witnessing or experiencing injustice?: no limit or restriction to how you answer this, but don't kill me I have the attention span of toddler

up to  about1,000 words (will allow slightly over if you're wrapping it up) and 2 art pieces for whatever else you want to depict. HOWEVER there is a catch.

You may not depict this kia as anything other than an egg.  You can design the egg as you see fit!

I was originally going to have this be a mystery adopt, but I wanted to make sure you guys were going to like the design. I didn't want anyone to put in effort and wind up with a design they didn't like or connect with ,_,

Ends: 12/18

Hopefully to be judged before Christmas uwu

Parent 1: https://www.kiamaras.com/character/Ka-908 - Dalylah
Parent 2: https://www.kiamaras.com/character/Ka-876 - Hazley
How do the parent(s) respond to witnessing or experiencing injustice?:
Dalylah has always been a bleeding heart regarding injustices, especially involving children. Before the rift, Dalylah cared for the woodlands in her surrounding area. This led to the fateful encounter with Inola, a 'mara kit being raised by a family of silver foxes. The family of foxes began to distance themselves from Inola when his winter coat didn't come in fully. As such, Dalylah slowly gained his trust and began raising him as a proper 'mara.
Hazley is a bit on the opposite end. She will help others but won't go out of her way to feed another mouth. Growing up in a house with too many others taught her early on how difficult life can be. When meeting Dalylah she was put off by Inola, not wanting to walk in after a previous mate, she ghosted. Months later, Dalylah happened upon Hazley and immediately wanted an explanation. The misunderstanding was resolved, and Hazley felt the need to reflect on her actions.
Two years later, they got married. Within the first week of their marriage, Dalylah had brought yet another 'mara home. This one looked much like a deer, was dehydrated, and unconscious. Hazley was immediately against caring for the stranger. Inola had recently moved out to explore the world a bit, and they even discussed possibly having a kit of their own. This new stranger would inadvertently ruin said plans. After a heated discussion, Hazley took a walk. Dalylah cared for the stranger, and as he slowly woke, she realized he was... well, feral. Strangely enough, feral in the sense of a prey animal having been captured. Over a few days, Dalylah ensured the stranger, whom she aptly named Hart, was able to be on his own then released him to the woods. She has since seen him with other deer. Hazley once again apologized to which Dalylah suggested instead of an apology she should realize this is no longer her childhood home.
After two kits, who have grown and moved out, both of which they are now trying to find in this new world after the rifts. Hazley could not believe her eyes as Dalylah held a 'mara egg. "Hey Haze..." "Day, this.... this isn't ours, is it?" The orange hues were reminiscent of Hazley but different in color, maybe a distant gene....that didn't matter. What mattered was her mate standing before her holding a 'maras egg. "Hazley, I know we've been looking for our other two, but what if they aren't even here yet? What if we keep changing places and just barely miss them? I have been thinking about settling down and I truly believe this abandoned egg is a sign." Hazley took in a deep breath. It had nearly been a year since they got to Solaria and the constant travel was wearing them both. Though to think Dalylah would come bearing yet another strange 'mara. Letting the breath out, "Well I do enjoy the forest surrounding Manabane, I guess a house there wouldn't be too terribly drab." She said with a soft smile, Dalylah's face immediately lit up. "This is why I love you Hazley, and just think if the kids are looking for us at least we will be in one spot. Plus we are saving yet another life." "And that is why I love you Dalylah. Please, don't ever change."

Parent 1: Ragana | https://www.kiamaras.com/character/Ka-3477

How do the parent(s) respond to witnessing or experiencing injustice?:
Ragana glared at the egg. How she ended up in possession of an egg was beyond her. One moment she was discussing with underlings plans to find a way back to Edridu, even if it meant at the cost of Solaria and all within, or listening to reports on the whereabouts of her good-for-nothing sisters, next thing she knew she had an egg shoved at her and they were fleeing for the hills to avoid the duty of caring for the thing.
A white egg with golden swirls now sat on the bed in Ragana's home. Glitter fell from it messing up Ragana's furs and pelts spread across her home as both decor and blankets. That was great, just great.
"You better be useful!" she hissed at the egg.
Nothing, silence. Just more golden glitter flittering in the air around it.
"Maybe you'll be useful in helping us find a way back to Edridu, or obtaining power here. If not, maybe you'll come in handy for my vengeance plans against my witch of a sister. Naenia is gonna pay for sending us here..."
The deep growl that came from the Kiamara caused the egg to shiver. Even if the small figure within could not fully comprehend what the Kiamara meant, they knew they would become a tool of injustice, assisting in the evil and cruel deeds of general who was now their caretaker. They listened helplessly within their delicate cocoon as Ragana delved into a rant of anger and revenge, temporarily forgetting about the egg to focus on the wrongs done to her and the wrongs she's planning in turn.

Parent 1: Hestia | https://www.kiamaras.com/character/Km-1367
Parent 2: Eris | https://www.kiamaras.com/character/Km-793

.- The Origin Story -.
Hestia dropped her basket of herbs and ingredients for dinner at the door, immediately hurdling around the corner to find her wife.
“Eris!” She gasped, out of breath. She collided with her inky, black hair, taking only a fraction of a second to breathe in her lilac perfume.
“Yes...dear,” huffed Eris, paws still wet from the dishes. “What is it, sunshine?”
“An…an egg!—They have! An egg!” She beamed, again brighter than any sun Eris had ever seen. The warmth not only from her paws but her smile made Eris dry her own paws and stop what she was doing. She grasped her wife's paws and pulled her over to their love seat, forcing her to sit.
"Now, I sent you out to get herbs and ingredients for dinner. I don't remember requesting eggs, let alone only one. Explain." She sat back against the baby kiamara down pillows her wife happened to make herself - she scrounged together all the shed downy fluff from all the couples nearby and sewed them into surprisingly comfortable throw pillows. Eris didn't know how she exactly felt about sitting on a baby's old coat...but for now, it sufficed.
"Why, Eris, they just left it there! In a basket and barely covered with a blanket! If we don't do something, that poor baby will be without a mother..." Hestia began to tear up, pulling her embroidered hankey from her apron. She dabbed at her eyes, staring now at her wife. "Here—they let me take the note."
Hestia handed her wife the note with a quickly scrawled message on the crumpled paper: "Please, take care of my child."
Eris glanced at the note with trepidation, yet sighed once she had processed the situation a bit longer.
"So, you're telling me I'm supposed to stop what I'm doing and drop everything to go save an egg from orphanhood?"
"Yes!"
"Hestia."
"ERIS."
Hestia jumped from the loveseat, standing by the window. "I will bring this egg home, whether you like it or not! I may not be its mother, but I can at least keep it warm by the fire and make sure it doesn't come into harm's way. Without someone to truly care whether it survives or thrives, how good are we to say we want to make a family? That injustice would be unforgiveable... When a family makes itself known, it is not always convenient, but it is always welcome within my heart."
Hestia was now letting silent, steady tears flow down her flushed cheeks; her wife behind her sat incredulously on their oddly-homey love seat.
"I want a family with you; you know that, right?" Eris ventured, speaking to the kind back of her wife. "It may not be a babe of our own, but what if we just...saw it through? Let it hatch and see what happens afterward?"
Eris stood slowly from the love seat, moving to her wife. She place a gentle paw on her shoulder, turning her to face her. "You know I thrive off of the chaos in our lives, my dear," Eris grinned.
Hestia sniffed, looking up at her. "So...I can bring in the egg now?"
"What do you mean 'bring it in now'?" Eris narrowed her eyes at her wife, suspecting.
"Why it's just outside! The poor dear is bundled between my shawl, a blanket, some thyme, and the potatoes you wanted for soup tonight...A dreadful fit, but it's safer here than it was there!"
Eris laughed; a big, hearty laugh. "What would I do without you?" She smiled, stooping down to plant a small kiss on Hestia's lips. "Let me bring the thing in..."
Eris walked outside, grabbing the basket. Meanwhile, Hestia stood in the living room giggling to herself.
"Any second now..." She grinned.
"HESTIA! THIS EGG IS COMPLETELY GOLDEN AND HEAVIER THAN BRICKS! I SWEAR TO THE DIETIES THAT IF YOU GOT TRICKED BY MIDAS AGAIN!..."
"Midas, huh..." Hestia pondered, waiting for her beautiful wife to bring their new child in.
