Kn-2179: Edeshka

Edeshka comes from a long line of Fey who have devoted their immortal lives to healing others. He was raised to be compassionate and kind, to always help where help is needed and was carefully taught the methods of healing that have been passed down through his family for centuries. He eventually found himself amongst the ranks of the Seelie armies, operating as a combat medic for his battalion whenever they would clash with opposing armies of certain Unseelie factions or the horrors of the wilds that ever lurk within the shadows waiting for the chance to establish a foothold of domination.

It was during a particularly calamitous time that everything Edeshka knew was turned on its head. Forces of otherworldly creatures had started to invade the realms of the Fey, feeding off of the energy of both the realm itself and its denizens - corrupting the fallen and causing their husks to join their ranks. It was a rare time of unity between the Unseelie and Seelie courts and Edeshka found himself in the thick of battle more often than fighting a battle to keep his brethren on their feet so that they would not be turned. The war was long, immortal beings up against a seemingly endless tide of invaders set on consuming everything in their path. One pivotal moment was all it took to turn the tide. The most revered, decorated General of the time had made the ultimate sacrifice - through foolishness or bravery, Edeshka did not know. That sacrifice eliminated the main driving force of the endless tide but the battle was not yet won. Losing such a key figure was a heavy blow to the morale of the soldiers that had been fighting for Gods only knew how long, something that would prove fatal as their will to fight was slowly brought into question.

Edeshka doesn't know what power overcame him during that time, but in one deciding moment he took up a mantle that would give the people behind him the final drive to push their opposition back to whatever otherworld they had crawled out of, all of them lead by a brilliant Golden Light of the man who had once been a simple medic. Once the dust had settled, Edeshka was awarded with the new position of General and - due to the respect he had earned from the Unseelie - was also instated as the Liason between the two courts to maintain their amiable peace. Now known amongst the courts as the Radiant General, Edeshka carries this new mantle with pride though there are times where he wishes he could just go back to being the simple medic that patched up the wounds of those who needed it most.
