Born to a village that revered the stars and looked to other celestial objects for guidance, Azir was unfortunate enough to have been born beneath the light of a Blood Moon which marked him as an Omen of Darkness Yet To Come. The Village Elders took custody of him from his parents, who willingly handed him to their care, where he was carefully watched and raised under their scrutinous gaze where even the smallest mistake earned him scorn. He was rigorously taught the rituals and lore of his people, always treated as an Other as those around him percieved being in his presence meant misfortune would surely greet them. As he grew older his sight started to fail him and not long before his were completely clouded did the Elders march him towards the great Archives beneath the mountain range where he was to remain for the rest of his days.
Dutifully Azir remained in the darkness of the Archives, learning to navigate the space that only he occupied for he doesn't know how long. That was until a new sound flooded the halls and drew his attention to a relic that had been housed there since long before his time. An Obelisk that had stood proud in the centre of the 'Specimen Room' had cracked, shattered - revealing that sealed within it was a person. A man who professed himself a God, The Glistening Sun, Khazhadan. This would soon spell the beginning of a new era of Azir's life - not seen as a bearer of Ill Omen but as a trusted companion and guide to a man who claimed to be the son of the Sun.
