Ka-869: Camille
Camillle grew up with her family running the family koi business, something she always did since she was young. She never really planned on staying in this line of work but a horrible accident ended up taking her family's lives, leaving her as the last one remaining to inherit the business her parents started.
She works breeding and selling expensive koi fish patterns and raising the fish to be beautiful and unique. She holds some bitterness for this, as she is the last member of her family alive (after her parent's death in an unfortunate accident) Leaving her with a massive amount of work to uphold to try and maintain her parent's dream.
While she is knowledgeable about her work, and absolutely gives her very best, she's often exhausted and irritable from having to deal with everything alone. And she's quite unhappy that she had to give up her own dreams in order to take this burden on her back.
She's considered selling the business, but she has come to love the fish she raises and finds great joy in seeing out beautiful they become. It's hard work, but despite it she still sees it as worth it. She also maintains it because it feels like the last real connection she has to her family, and she isn't ready to give that up yet.
When Eudon, a distant relative, comes to help with the business she was originally stubborn against admitting she needed the help, but over time he's grown on her and they work together to run a well-off little shop. She relaxed a lot after he joined her, able to feel like she could breathe from all the work left on her.
Camille is a tired kiamara who generally comes across as exhausted no matter when you talk to her. She always seems like she's emotionally drained or needs a good rest, regardless of how much sleep she gets. She works a lot, running a business almost entirely by herself, and it takes up all of her time. She lost her family as a young adult, and still hasn't really dealt with the grief from it, so she throws her everything into her work instead of coming to terms with her loss.
If she's not working, she tends to think too much, and make herself upset. So she opts for the alternative. She is very creative, and loves to get outside and go on hikes. She adores cooking, and creating in general- but good food is always a way to pep her up. She loves seeing what she can create from nothing but a few ingredients.
Because she lost those close to her, she doesn't have a lot of friends, and she can be a bit slow to trust people. It's not that she has issues with trusting or has been betrayed, but because she's afraid of getting close to someone only to have something awful happen to them. She's had a string of bad luck in her life and she doesn't always seem to have the ambition to break out of it because of the fact she's afraid of it following her wherever she went.
She isn't entirely unhappy- she does love her fish and her job isn't terrible, it's just a lot of work and it doesn't leave her enough time to pursue her real passions, leaving her drained and feeling unfulfilled. She's stuck in a rut, and needs someone to help her out of it.
