Ka-3331: ♡ Zugai
I Am Only A Shadow
Appearing as if he is a corpse lurking out of the depths of a deep, murky lake, Zugai’s black markings appear to drip from his pelt like murky, black ink. It is no wonder that, upon a first glance, his dark aura frightens those who were to look upon him. His methods of concealing himself from the outside world, however, do more to hinder his goals of meeting new people than help. Keeping to the dark shadows of the forest for fear of being seen and frightening off passers by, Zugai cloaks himself in the gloomy umbra and shades of darkness, hoping that if he is not seen fully he will not appear as scary to those who traverse his lands. Unfortunately for this quiet soul it makes him seem as more of a threat to strangers than reduce their fear of him - for all they often see are two glowing, golden eyes staring out them from the corrupted blackness.
Feather Trial
Hiding in the murky depths of the forest, it is no surprise that when the ghastly kiamara's eyes caught a glimpse of the warm, shining sun he was intrigued. Often for fear of his appearance he did not seek out company outside of his homeland, basking in the lonely solitude of his own home and mind. So, when something out of the ordinary crossed his path along the wind, it instantly peaked his interests. Zugai traced the fluttering little feather all the way from his craven homeland deep within the bog, almost as if he was chasing a fleeting desire of what could be should he enter the light. And, much to his dismay, entering the light he would have to do should he clasp the feather he seek. Zugai, not recalling the last time he stepped out of the forest depths into the warmth of the sun's glowing rays, stood precariously at the edge of the tree-line in despair as the feather, cast along by the wind, came to rest just outside of his reach. How simple it was, for any other creature, to leave the cold, dim decay and rot of the bog's eerie forest center. But, for Zugai, it was a true act of strength for him to take that first step outside of his comfort zone. The warmth felt odd, as if he had experienced it before but not for quite some time, and it was comforting in the midst of such fear he held in his heart. Though, just as quickly as he toed into the daylight to retrieve his prize did he slink back into the comfort of his dank, dark woods, clutching the feather in his grasp like a lifeline.
