Ka-2287: Micah 🪶

Micah's mother fell in love with a Pirate, which led to him being born at sea.  However, when his mother fled she felt the best chance of his survival was to drop him off in a barrel at the dock of Newport.  As a kit he was found and taken in by a middle-aged widow.  Once he grew old enough to begin helping her as she aged, he did so.  Still, she never stopped working at the fish markets.  When he turned ten he was taught to fish and brought out to work on the boats for little pay.  He was a hard and dilligent worker and felt at home on the water.  

Still, one thing is granted to us in life: change.  And things did change.  At age 17 the woman he grew to call mother passed away quietly in her sleep.  There was nothing wrong with her that anyone knew of.  She had even worked the previous day.  After the dust had settled and the "family" she had stopped circling like vulutres, Micah settled what little afairs she had.  He had solely been left in her will; leaving him the small, modest house and everything in it.  

A year dragged by before Micah began to feel restless.  He began to feel sick looking at the four walls that made him feel safe.  He didn't want to abandon it all; he just needed to leave for a while.  Still, day after day he was torn about the decision.  His friends encouraged him to go, that Solaria was a huge place full of adventure.  All he ever knew was the sea and Newport, he wasn't sure how far he would get.  

When he found his feathers he saw it as the sign he needed that he needed to move on with his life... and his life was not just here in Newport.
