Manabane is said to have come to existence long before the calamity, the ancient city having been cultivated and previously lived in by the Inturos. The city is large and deeply rooted within a giant trunk of a blue oak tree, overgrown with luscious flora and greenery and centered within the Cerulean Forest.

Blue oak trees once towered high into the sky and, pre-calamity, were highly concentrated around and near where the calamity now resides. These trees are now dwindling in numbers, and one of them houses the city within. Why Manabane was built in such a place, being that it’s believed that it would be more ethical to have been built anywhere else, is widely unknown. But there’s some speculation that the answer to that question is hidden somewhere within the technology around Manabane itself, but the city is so highly populated that it’s almost impossible to really delve deeper into the mystery.  

Today Manabane is known to be the number one technology advanced city in all of Solaria with one of the highest fluctuating populations, changing constantly but staying mostly around 6k ‘maras at once. The population at one time hit 14k ‘maras, that being the largest the population had ever been to this day. Despite the large population, many parts to the city outside of the tree trunk are left uninhabitable because of the overgrown fauna and flora. The most notable area of population located within the trunk itself is the University, which houses leading scientists and researchers of biotechnology as well as members of the Calamity Crusade.

Manabane is the birth city of Benji and Elija, and Leonidas lives in the city’s outskirts.
